London : J. Booth, 1813. A handsome antique print – the celebrated interior of the Wren church. Engraved by Joseph Skelton (1783-1871) from an original drawing by John Coney. Originally produced for the part-work series “Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views” (London : 1810-1823) – “the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building” (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text.
Copper etching and line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 224 x 226mm (approx. 8-3/4” x 8-7/8”). A few tiny marks to outer blank margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 129/115.

Originally produced for James Stratford’s part-work series “London; being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood ... by David Hughson” (London : 1805-1810). “Hughson” was in fact the pseudonym of David Pugh.

Below the principal image two putti display a miniature ground-plan and cross-section of the building. Engraved by Edward Rooker (fl.1749-1777) from an original study by the painter and illustrator Samuel Wale, first Professor of Perspective at the Royal Academy. Originally produced for Robert Dodsley’s part-work compilation, “London and its Environs Described” (1761).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 142 x 83 mm (approx 5-1/2” x 3-1/4”). A few tiny specks, a touch of faint offsetting, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 41/068.
