ALLOM, Thomas, 1804-1872 : ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH, STOCKWELL 1860. [London : Virtue & Co., 1881]. A pleasant antique print - a view of St. Michael and All Angels at Stockwell as it looked shortly after its completion to the designs of William Rogers in 1841. Engraved by the otherwise unrecorded R. Radclyffe from an original study by the gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work "History of Surrey" (London : 1840-1848) - and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and 1881. SOLD |
