BARTLETT, William Henry, 1809-1854 : THE MUMBLES ROCKS AND LIGHTHOUSE. (SWANSEA BAY.)

[London : Virtue & Co., ca.1880]. An attractive antique print – a dramatic view across the rocks to the lighthouse. Engraved by the Scottish engraver William Mossman (fl.1838-1864) from an original study by the well-known William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series “Ports, Harbours, Watering Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain” (London : 1836-1842) and here in a later nineteenth-century impression.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 140 x 180mm (approx. 5-1/2” x 7-1/8”). A touch of dustiness to blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
