[London : John Tallis & Co., 1852]. A charming small antique print – Teddington Weir – men fishing – a cottage among trees. An engraving from the workshop of A. H. Payne, originally produced for Payne’s “Illustrated London, or a Series of Views in the British Metropolis and its Vicinity” (London : 1846-1847), and here in a slightly later impression.
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 67 x 87mm (approx. 2-5/8” x 3-3/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 207/052B.

TOMBLESON, William : TEDDINGTON LOCKS.

London : Tombleson & Co., [1833]. A charming antique print showing the locks and the river, with an engraved decorative border featuring swans, flowers, drapes, etc. Engraved by Henry Winkles (1800-1860) from an original study by William Tombleson (fl.1824-1841). Originally published in the part-work series “Tombleson’s Views of the Thames and Medway” (London : 1833-1834).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 164 x 203mm (approx. 6-1/2” x 8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 178/033.
