London : Cassell, Petter & Galpin, [1881]. An attractive and dramatic antique print - the celebrated Cumberland Gap on the Wilderness Road, near the conjunction of Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia. Engraved from an original study by Harry Fenn and originally produced for the serially published "Picturesque America" (New York : 1872-1874), with the present example from the London edition of 1881-1885.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 160 x 202mm (approx. 6-1/4" x 8"). Overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
