London : R. Ackermann, 1811. A handsome antique print of the Coffee Room of the old Auction Mart that stood at the corner of Bartholomew Lane and Throgmorton Street. Originally produced for the October 1811 issue of Ackermann’s fashionable magazine, “The Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce, Manufactures, Fashions and Politics”.
Copper line engraving on paper. Original hand colour. Engraved surface 133 x 162mm (approx. 5-1/4” x 6-3/8”). Some very faint nicks and creases to margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : Leadenhall Press, 1891]. A pleasant antique print – a view of Throgmorton Street teeming with pedestrian traffic. From an original design by the painter and illustrator William Luker and engraved in Paris by Ch. Guillaume & Cie. for the Leadenhall Press publication “London City” (1891).
Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Later hand colour. Image area 155 x 94mm (approx. 6” x 3-3/4”). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Originally produced for Payne’s “Illustrated London, or a Series of Views in the British Metropolis and its Vicinity” (London : 1846-1847) – and here in a slightly later impression.
