Davies (fl.1829-1843) from an original study by the gifted Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Devonshire Illustrated" (London 1828-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 104 x 156mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 6-1/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : 1860]. A pleasant antique print, offering a view of Torquay from the sea. Engraved by John Rogers (1808?-1888) from an original study by David Cox. Produced for the publication "Beauties of English Scenery" (London 1860), although the plate has the appearance of having been originally engraved some twenty-five years earlier.
