London : Fisher, Son & Co., 1831. A pleasant antique print – a view of the town from the hills above. Engraved by William Alexander le Petit (1804?-1896) from an original study by the gifted Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series “Devonshire Illustrated” (London : 1828-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 112 x 158mm (approx. 4-1/2” x 6-1/4”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : T. J. Allman, 1860]. An attractive antique print – the Tor from which Torquay derives its name. Engraved by James C. Allen (fl.1821-1833) from an original study by David Cox. Originally produced to accompany “The Watering Places of Great Britain” (1833), with the present impression dated to 1860.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 119 x 173mm (approx. 4-5/8” x 6-3/4”). Overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : T. J. Allman, 1860]. A pleasant antique print – nineteenth-century Torquay from the sea. Engraved by John Rogers (1800?-1882) from an original study by David Cox. Originally produced to accompany “The Watering Places of Great Britain” (1833), with the present impression dated to 1860.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 118 x 173mm (approx. 4-5/8” x 6-3/4”). Slight mark caused by damage to plate before printing, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : Rock & Co., [1850-1876]. A bound assemblage of fifty small but carefully executed vignette views of Torquay published by William Frederick Rock (1802-1890) and his partners at various dates between 1850 and 1876, neatly charting the development of the town into the premier west country resort. A childish hand has scribbled on the view of Belgrave Road, "Our House".
Long demy 8vo (14 x 23cm). 50 leaves. Original publisher’s cloth gilt; covers a little worn and slightly split; front endpaper damaged and frayed; some occasional spotting to plates, but a good copy.
