Drawn and engraved by Thomas Barber (fl.1818-1840), and originally produced for Barber’s “Picturesque Illustrations of the Isle of Wight” (London : 1834) – and here in a slightly later state.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 112 x 154mm (approx. 4-3/8” x 6-1/8”). A couple of small and faint marks to blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Originally produced for Barber’s “Picturesque Illustrations of the Isle of Wight” (London : 1834) – and here in a slightly later state.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 106 x 150mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 5-7/8”). Impression a little faint in one small area at foot; a few tiny marks to outer blank margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Wootton : G. Brannon, 1837. An attractive print of the recently built St. Catherine at Ventnor, completed tothe designs of Robert Ebbels in 1837 – and shown with the original spire, now removed. The engraving decorates a double-leaf of ornamental notepaper. Engraved and published by the Irish-born George Brannon, long resident on the island.
Line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 104 x 140mm (approx. 4” x 5-1/2”). A few slight marks to the notepaper, but the engraving in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
