MORDEN, Robert, fl.1668-1703 : [WARWICKSHIRE] WARWICK SHIRE BY ROBT. MORDEN. [London] : sold by Abel Swale, Awnsham & Iohn Churchil, [1695]. A rare separately published state of the first issue of Morden's map of the county, originally produced for the 1695 edition of "Camden's Britannia", but here dissected, mounted on linen, and folding into (eighteenth century) marbled guards, with a manuscript label. Morden's maps from this series have not previously been recorded in this form. On their first appearance they were advertised as being "much the fairest and most correct of any that have yet appear'd" and the help of "knowing gentlemen" in each part of the country had been sought "to supply the defects, rectifie the positions, and correct false spellings".
