[London : 1797]. A handsome antique print of Westminster Bridge, the river and the Abbey beyond. Engraved by Thomas Tagg (fl.1794-1809) from an original study by the landscape painter Edward Dayes. Originally produced for Henry Hunter's part-work "The History of London and its Environs" published serially between 1796 and 1811.

Originally produced for John Hinton's "Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure".

London : Alexander Hogg, [1784]. A handsome late eighteenth century print - a view from the tree-lined riverside walk near the Buckingham (York) Water Gate towards Westminster Bridge - small craft on the river, an assignation takes place on the path watched by a dog. The view is set within an engraved border of husks, studs, wreaths and scrolls. Originally produced for Hogg's part-work "The New, Complete, and Universal History, Description, and Survey of the Cities of London and Westminster ..." (London 1784).

London : Ackermann & Co., 1837. A superb etching of a yacht race on the Thames - sails and flags streaming, spectators on the shore - from the highly skilled marine painter-engraver Henry Moses. A preparatory drawing in the National Maritime Museum is catalogued as "A sailing match off Westminster, possibly for the Duke of Cumberland's Cup". Originally produced for Moses' "Marine Sketch Book" series (London : 1825-1826).

London : Richard Phillips, 1804. An attractive antique print - a prospect of Westminster from Lambeth Walk - the river at high tide. The scene takes in - from left to right - Westminster Abbey; St. Margaret's church with its flag; Westminster Hall with its turrets; the trees of the Speaker's garden, with the Houses of Parliament beyond; the tower and cupola of the Horse Guards; the spire of St. James Piccadilly; the Banqueting House; Westminster Bridge with St. Martin in the Fields and St. Giles beyond; the pyramidal tower of the Hungerford Water Works; Adelphi Terrace, and the lofty Drury Lane Theatre with its tower. Engraved by Samuel Rawle (1776-1860) from an original study by Edward Pugh, and originally produced for Phillips' part-work "Modern London : Being the History and Present State of the British Metropolis" (London : 1804).

A charming and unusual late eighteenth-century antique print - a circular view of the bridge from the east, with the abbey beyond, etc. Originally produced as one of a series of London prints included by Charles Taylor in his magazine "The Temple of Taste" between 1794 and 1796, and later re-issued as "The Public Edifices of the British Metropolis" (London : 1820).

An engraved decorative border in "gothick" style features the parliamentary portcullis, dragons, stylised leaves, etc. Engraved by the otherwise unrecorded C. Hall from an original study by William Tombleson (fl.1824-1846) and originally published with the part-work series "Tombleson's Views of the Thames and Medway" (London 1833-1834).
