Originally produced for the partwork series “Views of the Seats, Mansions, Castles, etc. of Noblemen and Gentlemen” (London : 1829-1831).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 101 x 123mm (approx. 4” x 4-7/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

RACKETT, Thomas, 1757-1841 : LIMINGTON CHURCH, SOMERSET.

[London : 1824]. A pleasant antique print – a view of the parish church of St. Mary at Limington, near Yeovil, with its lofty tower. Engraved by James Basire (1796-1869) from an original study by the rector, antiquary and naturalist, Thomas Rackett. Originally produced to accompany the “Gentleman’s Magazine” in 1824.
Line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 177 x 103mm (approx. 7-1/8” x 4”). Tiny marks to outer corners of margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
