[London : Jones & Co., 1828]. An antique print – a canal barge floats past the newly built gas works at Camden Town – "an immense pile of buildings ... in the road leading to Kentish Town". Originally produced for Shepherd’s series “Metropolitan Improvements; or London in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1827-1830). Engraved by Alexander McClatchie (1804?-1888) from an original sepia wash drawing (now in the British Museum) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of 19th century London.

Originally known as Camden Chapel, later as All Saints, and nowadays as All Saints Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Engraved by Thomas Dale (fl.1818-1828) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. Originally produced for Shepherd’s part-work series “Metropolitan Improvements; or London in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1827-1830).
