London & Edinburgh : A. Fullarton & Co., [ca.1860]. A neatly worked nineteenth-century town-plan of Leeds on a scale of four inches to the mile, drawn and engraved by John Bartholomew for an unidentified edition of one of the Fullarton gazetteers.
Lithograph on paper. Original hand colour, with additional later colour to border. Printed surface 235 x 318mm (approx. 9-1/4” x 12-1/2”). The map split and neatly repaired along central fold, without loss of detail; small mark in lower margin, but overall in good and clean condition. A guaranteed genuine antique map.

[London : by Nichols & Son, 1805]. A handsome antique print – a sepia view of the great Cistercian abbey near Leeds. Engraved by Samuel Alken (1756-1815) from an original study by the Rev. J. Griffith. Originally produced for Thomas Dunham Whitaker’s "The History and Antiquities of the Deanery of Craven" (London : 1805).
Sepia aquatint on paper. Engraved surface 198 x 260 (approx. 7-3/4” x 10-1/4”). One small mark in sky, very faint tanning to outer edges, but in very good and clean state. A guarantreed genuine antique print.
